HUMILITY

by Sai

This work highlights the concept of humility as found within the context of a fantasy role-playing game, whereby players are required to take on the personas of their characters as they embark upon imaginary adventures within the game’s fantasy setting. In order to do so, players must first overcome their own personal ego.

And while it may be tempting to exert control over one’s party, success in the game requires teamwork, camaraderie and knowing the limitations of your character’s abilities and attributes. And much like life itself, no character is exempt from the rules of the game.

Dungeons and Dragons, originally designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, was first published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc. Since 1997, it has been published by Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro since 1999.
